Vocational Training Programme

Many deaf children are unable to achieve adequate language fluency to follow the traditional academic curriculum for a number of reasons despite our best efforts.

To prepare these children for life, we focus specially on non-formal education including life skills with functional language and math along with different kinds of vocational training so as to ready them to be able to lead independent, dignified and productive lives.

From Grade 5 onwards we have introduced informal sewing and embroidery, ceramic painting, art and craft, desk top publishing, data entry on computers as well as jewellery making and beauty parlour training. We hope someday soon we will be able to have a fully-fledged Vocational Training Centre as well which will includes areas like food production and management, home management services, jewellery design, screen printing, ear mould making, home accessories design and production and other relevant areas of work.
